EFES 2024 Exercise

The EFES 2024 Invitation Exercise, was successfully conducted in İstanbul and İzmir in two phases: Computer-Assisted Command Post Exercise (CPX) in Multinational Joint Warfare Centre (MJWC)/İstanbul from 25 April to 08 May 2024 and Live-Firing Field Exercise in İzmir from 10 to 31 May 2024. Multinational Joint Warfare Center, tasked with creating a realistic combat environment to achive the training objectives of Eastern Joint Special Operations Force formed within the framework of generic scenario and led by the Aegean Army Command, successfully conducted the control and management of the exercise with its modern infrastructure and expert personnel. The Exercise Control Center, consisting of a total 261 personnel including 166 Turkish Armed Forces, 16 governmental organizations and non-governmental organisations and 79 guest military personnel from 16 countries, operated under the command of Major General Rasim YALDIZ, who was appointed as Exercise Director. The forth edition of the EFES Invitation Exercise, conducted this year, was able to be managed from İstanbul remotely for the first time in history, thanks to communication information systems infrastructure and capabilities achived by the Multinational Joint Warfare Center. The potrayal of opposite force, media and international organizations that the training audiance stationed in İzmir would encounter in combat zone, in addition to upper, subordinate and neighboring units created within the framework of the generic exercise scenario, was ensured by the Exercise Control Center formed by Multinational Joint Warfare Center and its forward units stationed in İzmir.
