GUARDIAN OF PEACE 2025 (EUPE25) EXERCISE DV-DAY

Guardian of Peace 2025 (GUPE25) Exercise DV-day was conducted in MJWC/İstanbul on 26 June 2025 with the participation of the Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen. Metin GÜRAK, 1st Deputy MOD & CHOD of Azarbaijan General Kerim VELİYEV, DCHOD Hungary LGen Ferenc KAJARİ, 1st Army COM General Metin TOKEL, Deputy Chief of Operations Bosnia and Herzegovına MGen Tomo KOLENDA, DCOS Plan and Exercise Italy MGen Nicola PIASENTE, Deputy Chief of Operations UAE MGen Hamdan Ahmed ELZEYOUDI, COM 5th Corps MGen Muammer ALPER, COM 2nd CORPS Rasim YALDIZ, TGS Chief of Operations MGen Subutay ADAŞ, 1st Army Commanding Offıcers, COM Air Force Academy MGen Ergin DİNÇ and 17 representatives from other countries. On the DV-Day of the exercise, the program started in the seminar halls on the 1st floor with the opening speech of the Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen. Metin GÜRAK. The program continued with a briefing presented by 2nd Army Corps Commander LGen Rasim YALDIZ on the exercise planning and the objectives set for the training audience. Then, the Director of the Exercise and COM MJWC Col. Murat ÇAM presented MJWC introduction briefing and GUPE-25 Exercise Briefing. The program in the hall concluded with the screening of the GUPE25 “Road to Crisis” video. Later in the program, the activities at the Exercise Control Center were introduced by the Situation Center Officer Colonel Hakan BÜKE. Following a tour of the Opposing Forces, Media Cell, and the Grey Cell, a briefing on the Training Audience located on the 4th floor was given by COM 66th Mechanized Infantry Brigade BGen Şefik ATAK GUPE-25 DV-Day program concluded with the family photo and lunch served at the VIP Dining Hall, followed by the departure of Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen. Metin GÜRAK, and guests from the Multinational Joint Warfare Centre Command.
