GUARDIAN OF PEACE 2025 (GUPE25) EXERCISE

Guardian of Peace 2025 (GUPE25) Exercise was conducted in MJWC/İstanbul between 23-30 June 2025 with the participation of 17 friendly and allied nations as an invitee international exercise. The aim of the GUPE25 Exercise was to train 2nd Corps HQ to plan and conduct the execution phase of a Peace Support Operation, in a comprehensive, hybrid warfare environment, beyond national borders in a generic region. The Exercise was conducted in two phases:  Between 23-25 June 2025 for EXCON Training,  Between 26-30 June 2025 for Execution Phase of the Exercise. 60 invited personnel (1 Admiral, 58 Officers, 1 NCO) participated in the exercise from 17 friendly and allied countries; 3 from Albania, 10 from Azerbaijan, 2 from Bahrain, 2 from Bosnia Herzegovina, 3 from Bulgaria, 3 from Egypt, 3 from Georgia, 6 from Hungary, 3 from Italy, 3 from Jordan, 2 from Kazakhstan, 3 from Kuwait (1 of them Admiral), 3 from Kyrgyzstan, 2 from Oman, 8 from Pakistan, 2 from Spain and 2 from United Arab Emirates. Additionaly, 187 from Ministery of National Defense (MoND), Turkish General Staff, Force Commands and Public Instutions/Organisations such as TRT, Ministery of Health, DEMP, Red Crescent, Presidency’s Directorate of Communications and 173 from Training Audience-2 nd Corps Command, totaling 360 personnel participated in the exercise. Distinguished Visitors Day was conducted on 26 June 2025 with the participation of the Chief of the Turkish General Staff, the Chief of the General Staff of Azerbaijan and senior military personnel from friendly and allied nations.
